Clothing & Equipment

  • You are required to wear the approved equipment provided by the circuit which includes a race suit and helmet
  • You may wear your own equipment provided it meets our minimum standards and has been approved by a senior member of staff. If your equipment does not meet our standards then you will be required to wear the equipment we provide
  • If approved by us your helmet must be full faced or if using a moto X helmet, goggles must be used at all times
  • Loose or potentially dangerous clothing i.e. scarves must be removed for your own safety
  • Jewellery should be removed for your own safety
  • Long hair must be securely tied up and tucked away
  • Footwear must be trainers or similar. Open toed, sandals, heels, platforms or any shoe we feel does not give adequate support is not permitted

Alcohol & Drugs

  • You confirm that you are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Drivers who are suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be prevented from driving at the discretion of the circuit staff, for the safety of themselves and others. You will forfeit any fees paid

Medical Restrictions

  • You confirm that you do not have a medical condition that would prevent you from driving on the road or taking part in any physical exercise
  • You have told us of any other medical conditions that may be of concern so we can advise you whether it is appropriate for you or others in your group to kart. These include, but are not limited to: heart conditions, back injuries, epilepsy, amputations/artificial limbs, hearing or sight impairments, or any form of mental or physical impairment
  • You understand that if you exceed of the weight limits that the karts are normally designed to cater for, you may not be able to participate. As a general guide drivers above 114kg (18 stone) should request a private seat fitting prior to your event so that we can assess suitability
  • You may not drive if you are pregnant

Behaviour & Adherence to Rules

  • You will need to arrive at your designated time you were told to arrive, to sign in, change and take part in a safety briefing. If you miss your safety briefing you will not be allowed to kart and therefor will forfeit any fees paid
  • You will listen carefully to the safety briefing that you will be given and abide by the rules and guidelines laid out
  • You understand that Swindon Karting Arena Ltd expects drivers to adhere to its rules to ensure the safety of all drivers, spectators and staff, and that failure to adhere to these rules will result in removal from the premises
  • We reserve the right to end sessions or remove drivers from the circuit early if we consider the safety of themselves or others is compromised
  • We reserve the right to split your group into smaller groups on arrival if we feel that there may be a mixture of abilities or experience that could compromise the safety of any driver
  • You will look after all safety equipment that you use and understand that damages must be paid for
  • Anti-social behaviour on or off the track will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the premises
  • ALL deposits are non-refundable. It is at the company’s discretion to transfer a deposit to a later date with more than 48 hours’ notice. If we are given less than 48 hours’ notice your deposit will be taken and non-transferable.
  • We reserve the right to alter an event and the format if you are late on arrival for your booking
  • We book out enough time and assign a number of staff for your group size, if you drop numbers on the day of the event the full price must still be paid, if your numbers need to change we require 48 hours’ notice to adjust your booking accordingly

Release & Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity

  • Motorsport can be dangerous. In respect of this you participate at your own risk or at your parent/guardian's risk if you are under 16 years old
  • Spectators watch at their own risk. Any person entering the 'live' area of the circuit, including the pit lane, must sign this waiver. Children spectating must be kept under close supervision of a responsible adult at all times
  • Swindon Karting Arena Ltd will not be held liable for any accidents, or injuries sustained through involvement in this activity
  • We reserve the right to refuse karting to anyone whom we consider a risk to the safety of themselves or anyone else on the premises

Age Restrictions

  • The minimum age to participate in Arrive & Drive sessions is 8 years old, from this age they may be mixed with adults on track
  • The minimum age for events is 16 years old
  • The minimum age for hire & ride minimotos is 14 years old
  • The minimum age for the Children’s Club is 5 years old
  • If you are acting in loco parentis for children that are not your own, by signing the waiver you guarantee that the childrens' parents are aware that they are participating in a motorsport and are aware of the risks involved
  • Children under the age of 16, regardless of whether they are driving or spectating, must be accompanied by a responsible adult who must remain on the premises for the duration of the child's stay
  • If you are an adult driving with your children, you must respect the fact that the junior driver's safety is our absolute priority. Adult karts may be speed limited for the safety of younger drivers. If you are deemed to be driving in a way that places the junior drivers at risk, then you will be removed from the track at our discretion
  • Proof of age may be asked for to confirm adherence to the age restrictions above. Any driver who cannot provide suitable proof of age when requested will not be allowed to drive

Data Collection

  • You understand that various data collected by Swindon Karting Arena Ltd. may be used internally for marketing purposes, and your contact information may also be used to send you messages relating to future events, offers or other information we believe you may be interested in
  • You reserve the right to unsubscribe from our mailing lists should you wish to discontinue receiving communications of this nature
  • Your personal data will never be supplied to any 3rd party without your consent

Voucher Terms & Conditions

  • Vouchers valid until expiry date marked on the voucher - certain restrictions may apply when booking. Bookings in which you intend to redeem your voucher must be made with reasonable notice, and you understand that our time slots are reserved on a first-come, first- served basis
  • Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash and may not be resold
  • Vouchers are single use only and non-refundable
  • Vouchers must be presented on arrival and must match details provided when booking

Disclaimer

  • All drivers/riders compete at the discretion of Swindon Karting Arena Ltd, the Management reserves the right to refuse admission
  • Drivers/Riders who are seen to be racing in a reckless/dangerous manner shall be removed from the circuit without further warning and shall not be refunded
  • Drivers/Riders who do not comply with the rules and regulations of the circuit will also be removed from the circuit with no further warnings or refund

I understand that:

  • All motorsport is dangerous
  • I will comply with Swindon Karting Arena Ltd
  • I will use the equipment as instructed and so not to injure others
  • I will obey all instructions from marshals and management/reception
  • Karting and Minimoto racing are physically and mentally intense sports and may require extreme exertion
  • The possibility of injury to others and myself exists

1. Although all steps are taken to ensure your safety, Swindon Karting Arena Ltd shall not be liable for injury or damage caused to drivers/riders or spectators either due to drivers/riders actions or through the actions of others, drivers/riders or spectators other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

2. All property left either on the premises or in the car park shall be left at owners risk and Swindon Karting Arena Ltd shall not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to such items.

3. No alcohol or drugs are to be consumed before or during racing. The Management reserves the right to exclude any competitors believed to have done this.
